DEB — the Dynamic Estimate Builder — is the top-tier way to present big-ticket work. Instead of one number on a piece of paper, your customer gets a professional proposal with options and a personal video that sells the job — while you're already on the next roof.

What the customer gets

  • A personal video, first. The estimate arrives as a page where your video plays before anything else — walking them through what you found and what you're recommending, with their real numbers spoken out loud. The proposal sits one tap below it.
  • Options they choose from. The proposal is a menu: the work you're recommending as the core job, plus add-ons they can check for themselves. The total updates as they choose.
  • Sign online. They sign electronically right from their phone, in the same sitting.

The part that makes it work

They can't reach the price without passing the pitch. A normal estimate is a number with no salesman attached — the customer opens a PDF, sees a total, and decides alone. DEB puts your explanation in front of the number every single time, on their schedule, whether you're on a roof or asleep.

Nobody makes a video

Your tech builds the proposal and sends it. That's the whole job. The video builds itself from what's on the proposal — the options, the prices, the notes — and lands in your phone for review 30–45 minutes later.

You approve every video before a customer sees it — see Approving and sending.

Why options close more work

Presenting one price makes the decision "yes or no." Presenting three options changes the decision to "which one" — and that shift is proven to close more work at higher averages. Customers who might have balked at a single number routinely land on the middle or top option when they can see what each level buys them.

What it replaces

The old way: tech takes photos, someone builds a quote that night, it gets emailed as a PDF, and then... the 30-day chase tries to save it. DEB front-loads the selling into the delivery itself — the video does the pitch, the options do the upsell, and the signature and deposit happen in the same sitting.

Built for you

Like everything in Escape, DEB proposals are built around your shop — your branding, your options, your pricing. The building is done for you as part of the Liberate tier.
